American Bartender School Class Information
Bar Set Up and Equipment
Your training begins behind a real working bar. Every thing is real at our bartending school except the liquor. You will learn how to set up a bar work station and use all the bartending tools and equipment.
Mixology
You’ll learn over 100 basic and fancy drink recipes. Our instructors will show you how to make the drinks and then you’ll go behind the bar and practice making them. This part of the training teaches you the principles of mixology.
Speed Techniques
In this section of our bartending school training, you learn how to prepare multiple drink orders quickly and accurately.
Fruit Cutting and Garnishes
You will learn how to cut fruit and decorate tropical and specialty cocktails.
Profit Pouring
This section teaches selling techniques that will increase bar sales and tips.
Liquors
During this section of the bartending school training, students learn about the liquors they work with
Wines
You receive a basic understanding of wine service, tasting, and the differences between wines.
Beer
You’ll learn how to pour draft beer and tap a keg.
Customer Service
You learn how to give efficient courteous service. Knowing how to give good service equals good tips (more money in your pocket!)
Alcohol Awareness
You learn to serve alcohol with care and awareness. Many states now require bartenders to have this training.
Interviewing Techniques and Resumes
Helping you find a bartending job is an important part of our bartending class. You’ll learn successful interviewing techniques that will help you find a full or part time bartending job. We’ll show you how to prepare a great bartending resume that will explain in detail what you learned at the school, how to dress and how to effectively answer interview questions.
