The Gin Martini

The Martini is an American classic. While today’s Martini’s are often simply vodka, shaken until it’s bitter cold, and garnished with an olive, the original prohibition Martini was mixture of with Gin and a dash of dry vermouth garnished with an olive or lemon twist.

To Make A Gin Martini:

  • Martini glass chilled
  • 2 oz. Gin
  • Dash of Dry Vermouth
  • Stir gently
  • Strain with a julep strainer.
  • Olive or lemon twist garnish.

  1. 1 oz Gin
  2. 2 oz sweet/sour
  3. Top with splash of soda
  4. shake
  5. Garnish with a cherry

The Tom Collins is a summer classic its light with a gin and sour flavor the soda water lightens it up and gives it some bubbles. Ask the old school bartender to shake one up.

Pink Lady

  1. 1 ½ oz Gin
  2. 1/2 oz Grenadine Syrup
  3. Fill with cream

Have the bartender shake and strain the drink  into a chilled cocktail glass . The drink has the flavor of cherry from the grenadine and floral citrus notes from gin cream smooths it all out.

Pink Panties

PINK PANTIES

  1. 1 oz Gin
  2. Dash Grenadine Syrup
  3. 1 oz sweet/sour
  4. 1 oz  cream
  5. Top off with whipped cream
  6. Garnish with a cherry

If your not on you game out at the bar you can order one of these and send it to that special someone and hopefully get into those pink panties. The flavors of gin sour mix, cream and grenadine make a tasty drink.
